Meet Our Coaches
With a wealth of coaching experience in a wide variety of areas, Rikki McNeill has a background in coaching that has been developed directly to improve and develop young footballers, both male and female. With experience within the Preston North End Academy in 2011/12 while studying for a Foundation Degree in Football Coaching from Myerscough College, this early exposure to high quality players and coaches, provided a fantastic learning base of which Rikki has continued to develop over the years within various coaching and development positions.
Our Head Coach also has international experience, of working in Boston, America within the Global Premier Soccer organisation as a Programme Development Officer. A role which saw Rikki overseeing a whole Town Soccer programme ensuring the highest quality of sessions were being delivered to youth players in the Town. Upon returning to England to take up a Sports Development position at Myerscough College, Rikki took on a combined role as assistant coach to the over 18 BUCS (British Universities and College Sports) Football Squad, further diversifying in his coaching career. Furthermore, a season later, Rikki went on to work for Fleetwood Town Community Trust. Based at Poolfoot Farm training ground, the role included liaising with schools and local youth football clubs. Upon returning to East Lothian in 2018, Rikki is now Head Coach of Preston Athletic F.C Under 20’s who are currently competing in the Lowland Development League.
